Mathew Knowles Gets Remarried, Daughters Beyoncé and Solange Miss the Ceremony
Beyoncé's father is a married man once again.
Mathew Knowles tied the knot with 48-year-old realtor and former model Gena Charmaine Avery June 30 in Houston in a private ceremony with immediate family members in attendance, his spokesperson, Priscilla Clarke, confirmed to News.
The 61-year-old President and CEO of Music World Entertainment and his ladylove had been engaged for a year and a half prior to the nuptials.
Beyoncé, who dropped her dad as her manager in 2011, and her sister, Solange, did not attend the nuptials.
Mathew said in a statement to News, "Unfortunately, Beyoncé and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend."
The music exec was previously married to Beyoncé and Solange's mother, Tina, who divorced in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.
