Heidi Klum: In Hot Water with AOL Over Racy Photos
She’s one of the most recognizable stars in the world, and Heidi Klum is in high demand when it comes to internet traffic.
In fact, AOL signed an agreement with the “America’s Got Talent” judge to host her own personal website in exchange for $1 million and half of all the ad revenue she generates.
However, Klum has been utilizing her own personal social media accounts more than her AOL site, and the folks over at AOL are upset that they’re not seeing better results.
The last straw was reportedly when Heidi posted her bare bottom photo to her Instagram page rather than on HeidiKlum.aol.com.
An insider explained, “Her racy Instagram post would have gotten them 10 million hits, and they’re upset that she’s giving it away for free. But Heidi told them that her contract with AOL isn’t exclusive.”
“The biggest problem now is that Klum is considered part of the ‘AOL family.’ All its other sites have all been instructed to tread carefully when it comes to covering her, even when she’s with her boyfriend/bodyguard, Martin Kristen. All the other sites [AOL owns] have to treat her with kid gloves. They’ll run her on HuffPo and treat the story as if they’re a separate news organization.”
